Greenline Bus was a reputable bus service operating between Kathmandu and Pokhara, and it was known for its reliability and comfort. Their buses featured air-conditioned interiors, comfortable seating, and panoramic windows, providing passengers with a pleasant travel experience.
However, following the COVID-19 pandemic, Greenline Bus Company has not resumed its bus services on the Kathmandu-Pokhara route. Consequently, Greenline Bus services are currently unavailable.
For travelers seeking alternative options, several other tourist bus operators continue to serve the Kathmandu-Pokhara route. Companies such as Swift Holiday offer VIP tourist bus services with Sofa seats.

The deluxe tourist buses generally depart daily at 7:00 AM from Sorhakhutte, just outside Thamel in Kathmandu, and arrive in Pokhara between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM, depending on road conditions. The journey covers approximately 200 kilometers and can take around 7 hours, depending on traffic and roadworks.
It’s advisable to book tickets in advance to ensure availability. Tickets can be purchased through authorized travel agents.
Traveling from Kathmandu to Pokhara by regular tourist bus is a popular and comfortable option for many visitors. The regular tourist bus is an economical choice to suit different comfort levels and budgets.

The regular Tourist Buses also depart daily at 7:00 AM from Sorhakhutte, Kathmandu. It’s recommended to arrive at the departure point by 6:30 AM for check-in.
