Trip Overview

Lobuche Peak Climbing is a rewarding summit trip in the Everest Region of Nepal. Lobuche is the massif of two mountains Lobuche East (6119 m/19581 ft) and Lobuche West (6145 m/19664 ft). These two peaks are linked by a long serrated ridge. Technically climb to Lobuche is challenging than other popular trekking peaks in Everest region. So, it is advised to have the previous climbing experience to climb the Lobuche Peak.

According to the climbing history of this peak, it was first submitted by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on April 25, 1984. They followed the route of South East Ridge to reach its top. This ridge is formed in a unique rock triangle which extends from the summit to the Khumbu Glacier.  Later, most of the climbers followed the same way. Now, it has become a standard route.

Lobuche Peak Climbing is popular among climbers also because of the marvelous views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam and many other smaller peaks from its summit. The best season of Lobuche Peak Climbing is in the spring (from April to May) and autumn (from September to November).
