Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Fly from Singapore to Kathmandu, Nepal.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu International airport, we welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in our car. Orientation of the trip. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Pashupatinath Temple and Jal Narayan Tour in Kathmandu.
Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath (The most sacred Hindu temple in the Nepal. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River north-east of Kathmandu Valley. Here you find many Hindu temples, meet Hindu Sages and see lively cremation of death bodies on the bank of river.), and Budhanilkantha (It is a remarkable huge statue of Lord Vishnu reclining on a bed of coiled snakes situated at the base of Shiva Puri Hills, 9 km from the Kathmandu city. Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu – Rashuwagadhi – Kerung (Altitude 2700 meters). 168 km. (Driving 7-8 hours)
Our representative will pick you up from hotel in Kathmandu in the morning then you will drive through mountain roads to the border at Nepal’s side. In the border of Nepal China, you will meet our Tibetan guide and driver. After immigration paper work, continue your drive to Kerung. Kerung is at the distance of 20 Km form Nepal China border. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in Kerung.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Kerung (Altitude 2700 meters)
Acclimatization is a Key to the successful high altitude trip. As we will be traveling to higher altitudes and has plain land for distance, lowering cannot be an option. Thus, you have to acclimatize at Kerung for a day and proceed ahead. During the day, you can simply stroll around. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in Kerung.
Day 5: Drive from Kerung – Saga. (Altitude 4350 meters). 230 km. (Driving 5-6 hours)
Today you will drive to Saga, which is located at an altitude of 4350 m. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes and along the banks of the Brahmaputra River. You will drive in pleasure on a black-topped road and climb across Thong La and La Lung hills to reach Saga. You will travel 230 Km approx for 6 hours and accommodate at the Guest House in Saga. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in Saga.
Day 6: Drive from Saga – Mansarovar (Altitude 4590 meters). 435 km (Driving 7-8 hours)
Today we will drive to Lake Mansarovar, which is considered to be one of the most sacred lakes. The lake is located at an altitude of 4590m as the world’s highest-altitude freshwater lake is surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks. You will explore these pristine waters of the glistering lake and also see a Rakshyes Tal believed to be cursed. You will spend the night at a guest house near the lake. Today’s drive will be 370 km and last for 7 to 8 hours. Overnight at Guest House in Mansarovar.
Day 7: Drive Mansarovar – Darchen (Altitude 4670 meters). 53 km (Driving 2-3 hours)
You will have some free time in the morning to explore Mansarovar Lake and if you want to perform rituals/ puja you can do so in the morning. After this, you will drive to Darchen, considered as the base camp of Mount Kailash kora. You will also be blessed with a view of Mount Kailash during the journey as Darchen is located directly in front of Mount Kailash. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in Darchen.
Day 8: Drive from Darchen to the valley of God (Yamadwar) and start Kailash Kora (making Circle). 1st day of Kailash Parikarma by walking. 16 km (5/6 hours walking). Reach Dirapuk (Altitude 4800 meters)
Today you will begin Mount Kailash kora, the sacred mountain believed as the home of Shiva. In the morning you will drive to the valley of God and visit Yamadwar. Then, start the trek towards Dirapuk, which is located at an altitude of 4800m. The trek will take you through stunning landscapes along the banks of the Lha Chu River. Today you will see the north face of Mount Kailash. Total travel time today will be 18 km which will be a 6-hour journey. Overnight at Guest House in Dirapuk.
Day 9: 2nd day of Mount Kailash Kora, reach Zuthulpuk (4760m) via Dolma La pass, Altitude 5634 meters. 22 km (8/9 hours walking)
Today is the second day of Mount Kailash kora and the longest during circulation. You will first pass through the Jarok Donkhang, a small Tibetan settlement, and trek to Shiva Sthal and then reach the Dolma La Pass which circles Gauri Kunda from the outside and is also regarded as Outer Kora. Drolma La Pass (Altitudee 5634 meters) is also the highest pass in Kailash. After cross the pass, you will view Gauri Kunda, beautiful small pond. Then continue the trek and reach Zuthulpuk. Day 10: 3rd day of Kailash Parikarma. 10 km (3 hours walking). Then drive to Saga.
Today is the final day of the Kailash Kora. The morning you will be spent discovering the caves and temples that surround the Milarepa grotto. After breakfast, you will trek for 3 to 4 hours to complete your Kora and head back to Darchen. There, we’ll have lunch before heading back to Saga village. (16km walk with 3/4 hours and drive to Darchen then to Saga. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in saga
Day 11: Drive back from Saga to Kerung.
After breakfast you will return to the same route back with a comfortable drive on a black paved route. You will have some leisure time in Kerung to stroll around and have a relaxing time in Tibet. Overnight at Hotel/ Guest House in Kerung.
Day 12: Drive back from Kerung to Nepal China Boarder to Kathmandu.
After Breakfast your drive will start from Kerung to Rasuwagadhi. After crossing Nepal China Border continue drive to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu to Singapore.
Departure to the home country. Our tour officer will drop you at the International airport in Kathmandu by our car and see you off. End of Service.
