Everest Base Camp trek and Mera peak Climb Cost and Itinerary

Trip Overview

If you dream of standing at the foot of the world’s tallest mountain and then climbing a Himalayan peak in the same journey? If so, the Everest Base Camp Mera Peak trip might be exactly what you’re looking for. This adventure is a fusion of two of Nepal’s most iconic journeys: trekking to Everest Base Camp and summiting Mera Peak (6,476m), Nepal’s highest trekking peak.

Introduction to Everest Base Camp Mera Peak

This combined trek and climb adventure blends two major experiences: the Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek, which takes you into the heart of the Khumbu region, and the Mera Peak Climb, a non-technical mountaineering ascent with panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.

Why Combine EBC Trek with Mera Peak Climb?

Trekking to Everest Base Camp is unforgettable — but adding Mera Peak takes your experience to a whole new level, literally and figuratively.

  • Greater altitude challenge (Mera Peak is 6,476m)
  • Climb a real Himalayan peak with ropes, crampons, and all
  • View five 8,000+ meter mountains from one summit
  • Stronger acclimatization before attempting the peak

Route Overview: Trekking & Climbing Journey

The adventure begins with a flight to Lukla, followed by trekking through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, and Tengboche on the classic Everest Base Camp trail.

After reaching EBC and Kala Patthar, the route diverges toward Mera La via Khare and Mera High Camp, ending with the exhilarating summit push.

It’s a loop that explores both the bustling Khumbu trail and the serene, less-crowded Hinku Valley.

Best Time to Do Everest Base Camp Mera Peak

If you want the best weather, fewer risks, and clear mountain views following time is advised.

Spring (March–May): Stable weather, warm days, rhododendron blooms

Autumn (September–November): Crisp skies, stunning visibility, fewer rain disruptions

Avoid monsoon (June–August) and deep winter (December–February) due to weather hazards and high-altitude snow conditions.
