We finished incredible Gokyo Lake in Nov. 2017 under the management of Excellent Himalaya Trek. This is our second trekking in Everest region. Four years back we also did Everest Base Camp. In our opinion Gokyo Valley is the more rewarding destination. I and my wife liked it better than EBC trek. The trekking trail is beautiful and much quieter than EBC. We found Gokyo as so pristine Lake. Water in the lake was very clean and looked green. We climbed to Gokyo Ri, the peak closed to that lake with height of 5,357 m. The views from the top was really stunning included Everest, Lhotse, Cho Yu, Makalu, the Gokyo Lake, Ngozumpa glacier (longest in the Himalayas) etc. The trek was not so tough. Our guide Bikram and porter Lhakpa made the trip safely and enjoyable along the way. In this 14 days trip we enjoyed Nepal’s scenery, food, lovely lifestyle of local people. We are very happy to choose Excellent Himalaya Trek and would highly recommend this company if anybody wishing to undertake any trekking tour in Nepal. Thank you!!!
