Trip Overview


The quickest trek to Everest Base Camp is 10 days of hiking. This is the fastest trip without any helicopter ride. This trek also includes all the major attractions of the Everest region.

In the shortest trekking to EBC, you will get an opportunity to explore beautiful views of gigantic Mount Everest and its neighboring high Himalayas, and also you have an experience of the local colorful Sherpa culture.

The short 10 days EBC Trek also follows the same normal route to Everest Base Camp. After 35 minutes of scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu, you will land at Lukla Airport (2,642m/8,668ft). Then, you start trekking. The first day of trekking is only a couple of hours through Sherpa villages and local farmland.

The next day, you trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. After two hours of trekking from Phakding, you enter Sagarmatha National Park. Mount Everest and most of the part is inside Sagarmatha National Park. UNESCO has listed this National Park as a World Heritage Site.

Namche Bazaar is considered the gateway to Mount Everest. It’s a wonderful mountain market at an altitude of 3,440 m/11,280 ft. From Namche Bazaar, as you move ahead, the vegetation gradually turns into alpine shrubs and the scenery becomes more fascinating due to the views of different mountains.

Leaving Namche Bazaar, your first-night halt will be at Tengboche. This place is the Buddhist monastic zone with the splendor of Himalayan Views. After Tengboche, you trek up gradually to Dingboche then to Lobuche, and later Gorakshep.

Gorakshep is the final place with mountain lodges. Reaching Gorakshep, you hike to your dream destination, Everest Base Camp. It’s a short walk on the glacial moraine from Gorakshep to EBC. After the visit to EBC, you trek back to Gorakshep for the night’s sleep at the lodge.

Next day, early in the morning you climb up the Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar is at an altitude of (5,550m/18,210ft). This is best viewpoint for 360 degree panoramic views of Everest (8,848m/29,028ft) and other peaks like Pumori (7,145m/23,443ft), Lingtren (6,697m/21, 973ft), Khumbutse (6,623m/21,730ft), Changtse (7,550m/24,772ft), Lhotse (8,516m/27,941ft) and Nuptse (7,861m/25,792ft).

After spending minutes there, you drop back to Gorak Shep for breakfast; then retrace your steps to Pheriche then to Namche Bazaar and Lukla. Returning to Lukla is relatively easier and quick as you hike from high to low land. From Lukla, you will fly back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu. After your arrival at the airport, you will be met and welcomed by our Tour officer. Then he will transfer you to the hotel by our car. Orientation of the trip in the hotel. O/n Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Morning Flight to Lukla Airport (2804m/9199ft). Trekking from Lukla to Phakding (Alt. 2610m/8563ft). Walking 4 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 03: Trekking from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (Alt. 3441m/11289ft). Walking 6 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 04: Trekking from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (Alt. 3860m/12664ft). Walking 6 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 05: Trekking from Tengboche to Dingboche (Alt. 4350m/14272ft). Walking 6 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 06: Trekking from Dingboche to Lobuche (Alt. 4910m/4910ft). Walking 6 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 07: Trekking from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (Alt. 5365m/17602ft) then back to Gorak Shep. Walking 7:30 to 8 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 08: Early in the morning hike up to Kalapatthar (Alt. 5555m/18225ft) then trek down to Pheriche (4200m/13780ft). Walking 7 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 09: Trekking from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (Alt. 3441m/11289ft). Walking 7 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 10: Trekking from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (Alt.2804m/9199ft). Walking 7/8 hours. O/n in Mountain Lodge.

Day 11: Flight back from Lukla. Rest of the day at leisure in Kathmandu. In the evening complimentary farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese Restaurant in Kathmandu with cultural dances of different communities of Nepal. O/n Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Departure to the home country. Our tour officer will drop you at the International airport in Kathmandu by our car and see you off. End of Service.
