Ghandruk to Poon Hill Trek

The major attraction of this trek is to see the sunrise from Poon Hill at an altitude of 3210 m, an hour’s climb from Ghorepani. Indeed, the Poon Hill viewpoint is a paradise for photographers. On this short expedition to Poon Hill, you can observe the entire Annapurna mountain range, covered in red, orange, and pink shades of the sunrise, giving truly magnificent views.

The Ghandruk Poonhill trek begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara, from where you take a short car ride to Nayapul (1100 m) village. Nayapul is the starting and ending point of this trek. The route of Ghandruk to Poon Hill trek is Nayapul-Ghandruk-Tadapani-Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Tikhedhunga-Nayapul. After complete this joyful trek from Nayapul you drive back to Pokhara then will be followed to Kathmandu.

GHANDRUK POON HILL TREK ITINERARY AND ITS DISTANCE

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu International airport. We pick up at the airport by our private vehicle and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist Coach. Driving 7 hours. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Driving Distance: 205 Km/ 127 miles.
Estimated Time: 6 to 7 hours.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk (Height 2012 m/ 6601 ft). Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Ghandruk.

Driving Distance: 40 km.
Driving Time: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Trekking distance: 13.2 km/ 8.2 miles
Estimated Time: 6 hours

From Pokhara to Ghandruk Distance is 53.2 km/ 33.12 miles.

Day 4: Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani (Height 2630 m/ 8548 ft). Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Tadapani.

Day 5: Trek from Tadapani to Ghorepani (Height. 2860 m/ 9295 ft). Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Ghorepani.

Day 6: Early morning hike up to Poon Hill (Height 3210 m/ 10531 ft). Then back to Poon Hill. Trek from Poon Hill to Tikhedhunga (Height 1575 m/ 5167 ft). Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Tikhedhunga.

Day 7: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Nayapul (Height 1070 m/ 3510 ft). Drive from Nayapul to Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 08: Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 09: Final Departure from Kathmandu, Nepal for your onward journey to home.
