Trip Overview
uktinath is one of the very famous pilgrimage places for all Hindus as well as Buddhists who live around the world. Muktinath is also famous by the name of Muktidham and also in the name of Muktishetra. For Hindus, Muktinath is the god of Mokshya (salvation). According to Sri Vaishnava holy book, Muktinath is mentioned as Thiru Saligramam. It means houses of the Saligrams, believed as the form of Narayana. Here in the banks of the Kali Gandaki River Saligrams are naturally available.
Vaishnavas people also call Muktishetra as Svayam Vyatka Ksetras. Buddhists people believe this is the place where Guru Rinpoche also known as Padmasambhava meditated while on his way to Tibet.
Muktinath is situated on a high mountain range at an altitude of 3710 meters in Mustang district of Nepal. The main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu. Inside the temple, there is a statue of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Laxmi, Saraswati, Janaki, Garuda, Lava-Kush and Sapta Rishis. Behind it, there are 108 waterspouts in the shape of cow headed pour holy water. Here lots of pilgrimage takes bath from the ice-cold holy water.
About a hundred meters south of the main shrine there is another famous temple of Jwaladevi, the goddess of flame. The eternal flame that has been burning inside the temple continuously since time immemorial. Black amniotes fossils, is thought as the embodiment of Lord Vishnu is found in plenty in the area and pilgrims travel long distances over rugged trails to collect them.

Option I: Muktinath Overland Tour by Bus (Budget and Cheap Tour)
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Highlight: Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be met by our officer. He will escort you to the hotel. Tour Briefing at the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Morning Pashupatinath Darshan. Drive from Kathmandu to Jomsom (360 km).
Highlight: In the morning visit of Pashupatinath Temple. After Darshan back to the hotel. Afternoon our guide will meet you at the hotel. He will take you for a bus for the drive from Kathmandu to Jomsom. The bus leaves for Jomsom at 2:30 Pm. You travel whole night sitting on the bus. Overnight at the bus.
Day 3: Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath (22 km).
Highlight: You will arrive in Jomsom in the morning around 10 to 11 am. Then you further drive to Muktinath by next route bus sharing with other people. Visit of Muktinath temple, holy bath in 108 water taps, do puja and arati. Overnight at lodge in Muktinath.
Day 4: Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom to Kathmandu.
Highlight: After breakfast, you drive back to Jomsom by bus. Get on the bus going to Kathmandu. The route bus for Kathmandu leaves at 11 Am. You travel whole night sitting on the bus. Overnight at the bus.
Day 5: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Highlight: You arrive in Kathmandu in the morning. Rest at the hotel or you may last minute shopping in Thamel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 6: Departure from Kathmandu, Nepal.
Highlight: After breakfast, our officer will escort you to the Kathmandu International Airport to catch up on your flight to your home country.
Option II: Muktinath Overland Tour by Jeep
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (210 Km).
Highlight: In the morning our guide meeting you at the hotel. He will escort you to the Tourist Bus Station. Then you drive to Pokhara. Tourist Bus leaves from Sorhakhute, Kathmandu at 6:30 and 7:00 am. Evening walk around the lakeside market. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Muktinath by Jeep or Route Bus (157 Km+ 22 Km).
Highlight: In the morning you drive from Pokhara to Jomsom. Then you further drive to Muktinath. It takes 9 to 10 hours of drive. Visit of Muktinath temple, holy bath in 108 water taps, do puja and arati. Overnight at lodge in Muktinath.
Day 4: Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara.
Highlight: In the morning you drive from Muktinath to Jomsom. Then continue drive to Pokhara. It takes 9 to 10 hours of drive. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Highlight: Today you drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Rest at the hotel or you may last minute shopping in Thamel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 6: Departure from Kathmandu, Nepal.

Option III: Muktinath Tour by flight
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (210 Km).
Highlight: In the morning our guide meeting you at the hotel. He will escort you to the Tourist Bus Station. Then you drive to Pokhara. Tourist Bus leaves from Sorhakhute, Kathmandu at 6:30 and 7:00 am. Evening walks around the lakeside market. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 3: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (20 minutes flight). Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath to Jomsom (44 Km).
Highlight: Wake up early in the morning. Then drive to Pokhara airport to catch up a flight to Jomsom (20 minutes flight). Upon arrival in Jomsom, drive to Muktinath sharing. Visit Muktinath temple, do puja and drive back to Jomsom. Overnight at lodge/hotel in Jomsom.
Day 4: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara.
Highlight: In the morning flight back to Pokhara. Check in your hotel at Pokhara. Rest at the hotel or sightseeing of Bindabasisi Temple, David Falls, Gupteswor Mahadev Cave in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
