Trip Overview
Muktinath Overland Tour is the exciting journey to Muktinath Temple by a drive. Recent days Muktinath tour by the drive is becoming more popular due to direct road network from Pokhara. Because of the road access, everyday large number of pilgrims reach Muktinath temple.
Muktinath is one of the eight most holy Vishnu temples in the world. The name Muktinath refers to the God who offers Moksha. This temple is located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of Thorong La Himalayan pass in Mustang district of Nepal.
As described in the Hindu literature of Sri Vaishnava this is Thiru Saligramam. It means houses of the Saligrams which are believed as the form of Narayana.
Here in the banks of the Kali Gandaki River Saligrams are naturally available. Nearby this main temple there are 108 water springs where devotees take their sacred bath.
Muktinath tour by drive begins from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the beautiful city 200 km west of Kathmandu. On the way to Pokhara, you visit Manakamana temple by cable car.
From Pokhara, you set off your journey to Jomsom by jeep. After you pass Beni bazaar you drive on off-road through the places of Tatopani, Ghasa, Marfa, and Jomsom via the laps of two high mountains Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna First (8091m) along the Kaligandaki River. It’s an opportunity to see the world’s deepest gorge ‘Kaligandaki Gorge’ when you move towards Ghasa after Tatopani.
Next day morning of your arrival in Jomsom you drive to Muktinath. The jeep stops at Ranipauwa, the village below Muktinath temple. You walk nearly half an hour to the main temple. Have a bath at 108 water springs and puja at Muktinath temple. Then you drive back Beni via Jomsom. Spending night at the lodge in Beni you continue to drive to Pokhara.
Arriving at Pokhara you will go for sightseeing of Fewa Lake, Barahi Temple, David Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Leaving Pokhara on the eighth day you drive back to Kathmandu where you end this holy trip.

Trip Reviews
My husband and I did Nepal Tour 7 nights 8 days in the first week of April 2018. The trip was fantastic. We visited Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Before we fixed this trip Mr. Suman, the manager, he sent us detail on various trips to Nepal in the email. He explained features of each trip. Finally, we selected 8 days trip as it includes cultural heritage, nature, and wildlife. As he told us in the email we experienced a lot here. It is amazing… the temples, palaces built before many centuries in Kathmandu, beautiful Himalayan vista, lake, cave and museum in Pokhara, exciting elephant back safari and jungle activities in Pokhara. Suman arranged us the good hotel, comfortable transport, knowledgeable guide in every place. We loved Nepal and its tourism diversity. Thank so much Suman and your team for your excellent expertise. See you again soon for next trip.
