Trip Overview


Manaslu Trek and Annapurna Circuit Trek are separate and distinct trekking routes in Nepal. However, these two treks can be combined in one and can be done as a single trip. This trek offers unique cultural and natural experiences, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas and picturesque valleys. The trek starts from Machha Khola and takes you around Manaslu (8,163m), followed by a journey to the Annapurna Circuit, passing through the villages of Maccha Khola, Kitchens, and Samagaun. and reaches an altitude of 5,160 meters at the Larkya La Pass. You’ll then cross the Marsyangdi River and follow the Marshyangdi River to the Annapurna Range, where you’ll take on the next challenging Thorong La Pass (5,416m). From here, you’ll continue to the Mustang district and explore the ancient city of Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. The trek requires good physical conditioning and acclimatization to high altitudes. Still, the rewards are immense, with a chance to experience some of the most remote and unspoiled regions of Nepal.

Best Time for Manaslu Annapurna Circuit Combined Trek

Manaslu Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the most scenic and challenging treks in Nepal, and the best time to do this trek is from September to November or March to May. These periods offer clear weather conditions, with minimal rain and snow, making it ideal for trekking. The temperatures during these seasons are mild, making it comfortable for trekking. Additionally, the scenery is at its best during these periods, with lush green hills, sparkling rivers, and snow-capped peaks creating a picturesque backdrop for your journey.

Fitness for Manaslu Annapurna Circuit Combined Trek

For the Manaslu Annapurna Circuit trek, it is advised that trekkers should have a good level of physical fitness, as the trek involves walking for 5-7 hours a day and reaching high altitudes (up to 5,364 meters). Previous trekking experience is also beneficial, but not necessary. A good level of cardiovascular fitness and strong legs are essential to handle the challenging terrain and steep inclines. It’s recommended to consult with a doctor before embarking on the trek if you have any health concerns or medical conditions.

ITINERARY OF MANASLU ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT  TREK

Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will be met by our Tour officer and he will escort you to the hotel. Briefing of the trip at the hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Day for Manaslu Permit processing from the Immigration office of Nepal Government and preparation for trekking. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu. Meal: Breakfast.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat to Machha Khola (930 m) by bus. Driving around 8/ 9 hrs. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1410 m). Walking around 6 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Deng (1860 m). Walking around 6 hours. Overnight at Tea House.  Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 6: Trek from Deng to Namrung (2660 m). Walking around 6 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 7: Trek from Namrung to Lho (3180 m). Walking around 4 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 8: Trek from Lho to Sama Gaon (3520 m). Walking around 4 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 9: Rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization. Explore around Sama Gaon (Birendra Lake/ Pungyen Monastery). Walking around 5/ 6 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 10: Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3690 m). Walking around 4 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 11: Trek from Samdo to Dharmashala (4470 m). Walking around 4/5 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 12: Trek from Dharmashala to Larke La Pass (5160 m) to Bimtang (3720m). Walking around 7/8 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 13: Trek from Bimtang to Tilche (2560 m). Walking around 5/6 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 14: Trek from Tilche to Dharapani to Timang (2270 m). Walking 6/7 hours. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 15: Trek from Timang to Chame to Pisang (3200 m). Walking 7 hours. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 16: Trekking from Pisang to Manang (3500m/11483ft). Walking 5 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 17: Rest Day in Manang for acclimatization. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 18: Trekking from Manang to Yak Kharka (4090m/13418ft). Walking 3/4 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 19: Trekking from Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi (4441m/14570ft). Walking 4 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 20: Trekking from Thorung Phedi to Muktinath via Thorang-la passes (5416m/17769ft). Walking 8 to 9 hours. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 21: Drive from Muktinath to Tatopani by local bus. Distance around 64 km. Driving 4/5 hours. In Tatopani, you can visit dip and take a bath at Natural Hot Spring Water on the bank of Kali Gandaki River. Overnight at Tea House. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 22: Drive from Tatopani to Pokhara by local bus. Distance around 100 km. Driving 4/5 hours. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara. Meal: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 23: Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Driving 7/8 hours. In the evening complimentary farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese Restaurant in Kathmandu with cultural dances of different communities of Nepal. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu. Meal: Breakfast & Dinner.
Day 24: Departure to your home country. Our tour officer will drop you at Kathmandu International Airport and see you off. Meal: Breakfast. End of Service.

• Your travel insurance (As the Manaslu + Annapurna Circuit trek is high altitude journey it is advised to do travel insurance which covers medical & helicopter evacuation from a high altitude, 5500 meters)
• Alcoholic beverages, hot (coffee, tea) and cold drinks, hot water, bottled water, dessert.
• All kinds of personal expenses like phone calls, internet use, laundry, battery charge, hot shower during trekking, excess baggage charge, etc.
• Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Pokhara except for farewell dinner on the last night of the trip.
• In case of emergency helicopter rescue/ evacuation & its cost.
• Porter (If you need a porter to carry your luggage, the extra cost is USD 180 Per Person. It includes his lodging, food, transportation, allowance, & insurance. One porter will be shared by two trekkers. He will carry the luggage of two trekkers with a max weight limit of 25 kg.) If need a porter, please inform us at the time of booking.
