Lukla to Tengboche is an amazing short trek of Everest. This trek offer you the stunning view of Mt Tawache (6,510 m), Nuptse (7,861 m), Ama Dablam (6,856 m), Thamserku (6,648 m), Kongde Ri (6,187 m), Kusum Kangaroo (6,367 m), Kamtega (6782 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Peak 38, Cholache, Kongde, and Mt. Everest (8,848 m). Of all, Ama Dablam is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
This trek is also known as the Tengboche monastery trek. It takes you to visit Namche Bazaar, the largest village/ center of the Everest region, and then Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery of the Everest territory. Inside the monastery are incredibly wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas.

Lukla to Tengboche trek begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla is one of the busiest mountain airports of Nepal that lies at an altitude of 2,840m above sea level. From Lukla you trek to Phakding. Then you pass through Sagarmatha National park which preserves enrich the diversity of flora and fauna. It could be the best opportunity to enjoy that most beautiful sight of dense pine forest, Rhododendron flowers, and wildlife on your way to Namche Bazar (3,440m).
In Namche Bazaar, you spend one more day hiking towards Syangboche, Everest View Hotel, and Khumjung village. After Namche Bazaar continue trek to Tengboche (3,860m). Here you visit the highest Buddhist monastery in the Everest region and considered the best destination for the spiritual paths as well. Then you retrace your steps to Namche to Monjo to Lukla. From Lukla by flight you back to Kathmandu.

ITINERARY OF LUKLA TO TENGBOCHE TREK
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
After arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our airport representative will receive you. He/she will be displaying your name board outside the airport terminal. You will be transferred to your respective hotel by private vehicle. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla (flight- 40 min) to Phakding (2652m)
In the morning, you will fly to Lukla, and the flight is about 35 mins. After landing at Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla, you will be introduced to your porters, and start your trek by following your guide. Here, we will first descend to the Dudh Kosi River and trek further passing through the village called Ghat. Along the way, you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m) Kusum Kanguru (6367m), and Mount Kwongde Range. You then take an easy walk for about two hours to Phakding village. Have some rest time rest strolling around the village for local knowledge. Overnight at mountain lodge in Phakding
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
After breakfast, you continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi River. You cross the majestic river many times by exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering the Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply and offers a breathtaking view of mountains. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m), and Nuptse (7879 m). Namche Bazaar is considered the Gateway to Everest and also the center of the Everest region. It is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange services, internet cafes, and bakeries. Overnight at mountain lodge in Namche Bazaar
Day 4: Exploration around Namche Bazaar. Hike to Syagnboche (3780 m), Everest View Hotel (3962 m) and Khumjung (3790 m).
After breakfast, you hike up towards Syangboche which offers a view of mountains, such as Kongde Ri, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, Kamtega, Ama Dalam, Tawache Peak, Khumbila (Holy Peak). Then move towards Everest View Hotel. From Everest View Hotel, you can see a panoramic view of mountains, such as Kusum Kangaru, Lhotse, Tawachwe, Khumbila, and Everest. After enjoying the view you continue hiking to the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung. If you are interested, you may ask your guide to take you to the Khumjung Monastery which houses what is said to be a Yeti scalp. Leaving the village you circle back to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860 m).
Today in the beginning the flat and easy trail leads towards the view of Mt. Everest, then descends deep into the Dudh Kosi Valley at Pungki Thanka. From here it ascends the right flank of the Dudh Kosi valley to Tengboche Monastery (3860m). It is the spiritual center of the Khumbu. The climb is long, but more than adequately compensated by views of Mt. Amadablam and on a clear day, views of Mt. Everest and its surrounding peaks. Inside Tengboche monastery, there are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Tengboche.
Day 6: Tengboche to Monjo (2835 m).
Out of all the villages of the Everest region, you find Tengboche as the most religious village, for it has a lot of religious shrines and monasteries, and all the Sherpas of the Everest region pay their visit to Tengboche Monastery. From Tengboche, you retrace your journey to Namche Bazaar. From Namche, you descend towards Monjo where routes are all scenic and offer panoramic views of Himalayan ranges. You will reach Monjo before evening. Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Monjo.
Day 7: Monjo to Lukla (2860 m).
This is the final day of the trek as you prepare yourself to hike to Lukla following the lower altitude trail in the Everest region. Traversing various Sherpa settlements, and hiking past some dense forest area covered by beautiful rhododendron and pine trees, you will slowly proceed towards Lukla. On the way, you will also see a few monasteries that resemble unique Buddhist cultures and traditions. Overnight at Mountain Lodge in Lukla.
Day 8: Lukla to Kathmandu.
In the morning, you’ll take a brief flight from Lukla enjoying a glimpse of the mountains from the window of a plane. After arriving in Kathmandu you’ll transfer to your hotel. Relax at the hotel. You can do last-minute shopping in Kathmandu. In the evening we offer you a farewell dinner at one of the best Nepalese restaurants in town. During dinner, we would love to hear your feedback about the trip. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 9: Departure from Kathmandu, Nepal.
Today is the departure day; therefore, you are picked up from the hotel and transferred to Tribhuwan International Airport on time for your onward journey to your home country.
