Bhutan, publically known as the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia between China and India. This nation is bounded by Tibet Autonomous Region of China in the north, India in the south, the Sikkim state of India and the Chumbi Valley of Tibet in the west, and Arunachal state of India in the east.

In South Asia, Bhutan positions first in per capita income and is the least corrupt country. Here, the government is a parliamentary democracy. The head of state is the King (the Present king is Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck since 2006). Bhutan has diplomatic relations with 52 countries and the European Union but does not have formal ties with the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Nowadays, Bhutan is also famous in the world for the concept of Gross National Happiness.
