Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site): Kathmandu Durbar Square is the old Royal Palace area of Kathmandu city. It a cluster of palace, courtyards, temples and various monuments. Here you can enjoy the typical Nepalese art, architecture, and heritage. Most of the monuments here date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The major attractions of this place are Old Royal Palace, Kumari Ghar (Home of living Goddess of Nepal), Kasthamandap, Kal Bhairab temple, Shiva Parvati Temple, Taleju Temple etc.
Swayambhunath (World Heritage Site): Swayambhunath is an ancient temple built 2500 years before. It is situated on the top hill overlooking Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in the north-west parts of the temple. Around the main temple, there are many smaller Buddha temples as well.
Ason: Ason is a bustling local market in the heart of Kathmandu city. Here you can see many vendors sell traditional Nepali items like dried spices, cheap textiles, Nepali wedding paraphernalia, green vegetables and much more. More than just a market, Ason (also spelled Asan) is a lively neighborhood with temples and stupas, old Newari buildings, its own festivals, and a very long and distinguished history.

Boudhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site): Boudhanath Stupa (or Bodnath Stupa) is the largest Buddhist temple in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. Here, you can visit Buddhist monastery and see many Tibetan people circling the temple. The area of this temple is also known as Little Tibet.
Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site): Pashupatinath Temple Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the greatest Shiva sites of the world, is located on the banks of the Bagmati River north-east of Kathmandu Valley. Here you find many Hindu Shrines, meet Hindu Sages and see lively cremation of dead bodies.
Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site): It is an ancient royal palace situated in the southeast of Kathmandu city, is full of ancients palace, temples and shrines, and beautiful carvings. The palace consists of three main Chowks (courtyards) known as Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, and Mani Keshab Narayan Chowk. Here, you can enjoy in a couple of museums which many beautiful ancient cultural artifacts.

Duration: 1 night 2 days
Day 01: After breakfast, drive to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is the oldest city in Nepal, 15 km east from Kathmandu. The city was founded 9th century back. Bhaktapur is like an open museum of Nepalese art, architecture, and heritage. The city has four beautiful squares. They are Bhaktapur Durbar Square (It contains 55 wooden windows royal palace built in the 17th century, big stone bell, statue of the king, sacred Taleju temple, royal bath, many temples), Nyatapola Square (It contains Nepal’s tallest temple called Nyatapola temple, Bhairabnath temple etc), Pottery Square (It contains many pottery items and live show of how potters make pottery by traditional method) and Dattatraya Square (It contains Dattaraya temple and many charming architectural showpieces). After the sightseeing of Bhaktapur city, then drive to Nagarkot.

Day 02: Nagarkot is like hill station 35 km east of Kathmandu city and from Bhaktapur is 20 km is distance. It is located at an altitude of 2175 meters from sea level. Nagarkot is very famous for the sunrise as well as the Himalayan views. From here on clear weather, you can see a different Himalayan range like Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Shishapangma, Gaurisankar, Everest and Numbur Himalayan range. In the morning after sunrise and Himalayan views, you drive back to Kathmandu.
